To create an attractive and flexible environment is necessary to put forward a vision, but also to establish a process that creates a dynamics for future appropriation. Rather than a closed design, which only responds to the needs of the present, we simulteneously envision a set of actions and a proactive stakeholder platform, involving the different agents (users, investors, policy and decission makers, and architects) working together for a dynamics that looks beyond a-prioris and stablished solutions.

By means of an urban regeneration project we propose a new system of ‘hybrid squares’ to atomise and balance the occupation and use of s’Arenal. An essentially spatial transformation of the urban fabric as a means to overcome the unbalanced exploitation of the real estate business oriented solely towards tourism.
